Plummy Yummy Inglot AMC Gel Liner 74 review

Hello pretties,

I am back again with a review this time and this review would be of the Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 74. I love eyeliners, whether it is in liquid, pencil, crayon or gel - I simply love them. They are the one thing in my make-up kit that I keep buying over and over again even If I already have tons of them.

Coming back to the gel liner, I have been using this gel liner for about a year now and if I had to describe them in just three words, I would say I love it! In fact, I have actually grown quite fond of the Inglot brand. I think they have some really good quality products. I had bought this liner along with two nail polishes from their Khar Linking road outlet.

When I first went to their store, I actually had no idea what to buy and seeing all those different types of products, I felt like a kid loose in candy land or a toy store. As I was looking around and my eyes fell on this particular beauty, it was love at first sight    and the angels were singing Halleluajah (well, actually only in my head). If you haven't figured it out from the name of my blog, I have a thing going on with purple. I love it and can't seem to stay away from it and am ready to die for it, irrespective of what size, shape or form it is in. :-D

And as you can see from the picture below, the Inglot AMC Matte Gel Liner was exactly that.

The gel liner 74 is a lovely purply-plum shade in a really smooth and creamy texture. It glides on perfectly and smoothly, without any tugging or pulling at all. And, the colour is also pretty intense. The swatch above is just one swipe. You just need one swipe across your lash line. Here is how it looks on the eye.

I hope you guys are able to make out the colour. Not only did I take the picture in the evening, but I have tiny, small hooded eyes making it harder for any liner to show. :( If not, here is a larger and brighter picture of the eye

Now, that you have had a closer look at the colour, here is the verdict of the Gel Liner:

  • Texture: smooth and creamy. No pulling or tugging and glides on like a charm.
  • Staying Power: Stays on forever. It doesn't flake or rub off. I had once worn it all day and it stayed intact all the way till night.
  • Container: It comes in a plastic pot. Not only is this quite sturdy and the compact size makes it easier to carry around.
  • Irritation: The liner does not irritate the eyes at all and can easily be worn on the lash line.
  • Quantity5.5gms is ample amount of quantity. I have had this liner for a year and have used it quite frequently and I have only managed to put a dent in the product.
  • Drying off: Again, its been a year and my liner is just like how it was when I bought it. It hasn't dried up or lost its creamy texture at all. However, I have read that the gel liners had dried up for many other bloggers, but not to worry this can be easily fixed with a few drops of the Inglot Duraline formula.
  • Price: At the current Rs. 850, I would say its a tad bit on the expensive side. I liked it when it was priced at Rs. 680. Why you increase the price Inglot!!???
  • Brush: The gel liner doesn't come with a brush, so you would have to additionally purchase one. For me, this wasn't a deal breaker as I already had 3 gel liner brushes lying around.
  • Versatility: If you are quick enough, the liner can also be used as an eyeshadow or a base colour for eyeshadows.
  • Testing on animals: Ingot is a cruelty-free and animal friendly company and doesn't test its products on animals. A bigggggg factor for the animal lover me.
  • Pigmentation: Wonderful pigmentation. You just need one swipe or glide of it and also shows perfectly on pigmented eyelids.
So, all in all, this is a great gel liner. Its super creamy, stays on forever and has wonderful pigmentation. The only deal breaker here is its price. I would have preferred if it was still priced at Rs. 680 and not Rs 850. I would rather spend a little bit more and buy a MAC Fluid line instead.

That's about it from me. image  Have any of you used the Inglot AMC Gel Liners?
