The Purplenista at the Divo + Dermalogica Mumbai Bloggers Meet

Aloha my lovely readers! How's it going on with you guys? All going well?

I, unfortunately just got over a bit of sickness (thanks to constant weather changes in Mumbai), thereby explaining my MIA from the blog. Well, here I am and here is the post that has been long due, and I mean looooong due.

So, mid January I went to my first ever blogger event in Mumbai. This event was held By Divo and Dermalogica at the ITC Grand Central and in short it was tons of fun. If all blogger events are like this, I wanna go to more!!!!! Not only did I get to meet some awesome bloggers like Shanaya from Little Miss Sinner, Shalini from ShaliniMehta.com and Magali from Life etc, but we all got treated to some hand spa and some lessons on skin care, hair care and hair styles for different face structures.

Since, the event was hosted by Divo and Dermalogica, Divo used the event to launch their new hair accessories and new range of brushes. (Divo as many of you will know are manufacturers of hair brushes). The hair accessories included pretty embellished hair bands and hair-ties. I really liked their hair bands and that purple hair-tie (picture below). Very Pretty!

These hair-bands would be great to prep up your hair on a bad hair day or to look glam for a party.

Another product that I absolutely loved among the new launches and am eyeing to buy is their new Mother-of-pearl Aurum hair brushes with gold plated teeth. These brushes were soooooo pretty that I immediately wanted to buy one. Just image how pretty they would look on your dressing table and they would also make awesome accessories for your trousseau kit. (All brides-to-be are you listening). :) Definitely a must buy!

Some more interesting hair brushes. I think the one on the right is a heat radiating hair brush and the one on the left can be used to apply hair products like hair gels by putting it in the center of the brush.

We were not only introduced to the new products but also got pampered with a nice hand spa provided by Dermalogica and after the hand spa, we got a crash course on taking care of our skin everyday by Dermalogica's very own skin specialist Avni Amalani. She also introduced us to the company's CleanStart range and the right way to use it.

Skin was not the only talking point at the event. Divo also brought along Runah salon's creative director Akshata Honawar to the event. She along with her team helped us to identify face structures and hair styles that would suit each face structure.

Akshata also showed us some really easy and cool hair styles that we can easily do at home. Guess what, the messy bun, the milkmaid braids and the bouffants are actually quite easy and can be done at home. Akshanta had called on volunteers to show the hairstyles and here is Raima (my bestie) getting the messy bun styled by Akshanta herself.

Doesn't Raima look pretty with the messy bun:

At the end of the event, all of us got some really cool goody bags from Divo and Dermalogica. Yaaaaaaaaaaa!! Here are some pictures of the goodies that I got.
