When it comes to creams and lotions, one of the brands that has been a constant in my house is Olay. Ever since I can remember, I have seen a bottle or a tub of Olay on my mom's vanity table. So, when I received the Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Cream + Serum Duo as a part of a review, I was quite excited to see how it was. So, come on over and read on more to see how this anti-ageing cream performed after a week's use for me and my mom:

The Olay Total Effects Cream + Serum duo comes in a quaint little transparent pump bottle where you can see the distinct swirls of the moisturizer and the serum. You can see from the picture above the white swirls is the moisturizer and the distinct yellow swirl is the serum. The swirl actually looks kinda pretty and the pump helps to get the right amount of product (pea size) for a single use. The consistency of the product is quite thick, light and creamy and spreads smoothly and evenly all over the face. Although, the package says Fragrance free, the cream does have a light fruity fragrance that is not overpowering at all.

And now for the review:

The Good:
  • The best aspect of the cream is that after consistent use it provides a healthy glow to the skin. Your skin tone evens out and you start to look brighter and radiant.
  • It makes the skin soft, supple and smooth.
  • Even though, it is an anti-aging cream, this cream + serum d feels light on the skin. It absorbs really well.
  • It does moisturize well. Although, I have combination skin, I spent almost 12 to 14 hours in an air-conditioned environment every day that often leads to my skin becoming dry and stretchy. After applying the Olay cream + serum duo, I did not feel my skin becoming dry and stretchy towards the end of the day and my skin felt quite nice throughout the day.
  • Shrinks open pores!!!! ('nuff said!)
The Bad:
  • The cream + serum comes in only one particular type that can be used for all skin types. I feel that Olay should have made the cream + serum duo for different skin types, like it had done for its original Total Effects 7-in-One moisturizer.
  • The cream + serum duo might just not suit everyone. My mom was using the cream + serum duo along with me and she saw that after using it small white-head type bumps had appeared on her skin. This, however, did not happen to me.
  • Although, it is too early to judge whether the cream affects wrinkles, my mom didn't notice much of a difference in the reduction of her wrinkles. But, she did say that her skin did feel firmer than before.
The Ugly:
  • Pricey. I feel that paying Rs. 369 for 20 gms of product is a bit expensive.
My Rating: /5 (minus one for the quantity and price of the product)

So, this is my review of the Olay Total Effects 7-in-One Cream + Serum duo. Overall, I think Olay has done a good job with the cream + serum duo. It definitely combines the best of both the products into one and women can do try it out to get radiant and brighter skin. Have you guys used this product? Do let me know of your experience.

Note: "I am trying out Olay Total Effects as a part of the product review program at BlogAdda.com".
