The Festive Season Looks Galore!

The months of October, November and December can easily be called the festive season quarter of the year. These three months are filled with different types of celebrations starting from Durga Puja, Navrathri, Diwali to Christmas and New year. I am very sure that when this last quarter rolls in, people everywhere start scurrying to buy gifts, sweets and clothes so that they can look their best and enjoy the celebrations.

Well, I was not wrong. The moment October rolled in, all stores started being crowded and I have never seen that many people shop in the mall close to my house. Now, as a girl who absolutely LOVES shopping crowds didn't bother me and I was all geared up to go for my shopping until I fell terrible sick and I was advised to stay at home. However, that didn't stop me from shopping, all thanks to the miracle of online shopping. Thanks to Shopperstop and its website, I managed to complete my entire festive season shopping from the comforts of my bed.

It was little tough to shop due to the numerous variety available, but I still managed to choose what I liked best and place an order. For the Durga Puja and Diwali, I chose two outfits for myself - a saree and a salwar kurta that I have paired up with accessories and makeup. Since, Bhaiduj was following these celebrations, I also decided to gift my brother a festive ensemble too. Oh! and not to forget, I even bought a dress to celebrate Christmas and New year too.

So, here goes. These are my ensemble selection for the festive seasons:

When I saw this lovely saree, I had immediately fallen in love with it, as it was in my favorite colour - purple and it looked so elegant. I can wear this to festivals and parties too. Also, I loooove Titan's new Raga collection of watches. These watches are so pretty and they serve two purposes at the same time - you can wear it as a watch and also as bracelet too. Yaaa!!! now you don't have to worry about leaving your watch behind.

For the makeup, I would go for a pretty shimmery pink eye-makeup and soft rose cheeks. Here are some of the products that I would use to create the perfect festive look to go with this ensemble:

I love sarees, however, I am still yet to learn to walk, or in other words handle a saree gracefully while wearing it, so, for the second festive look, I decide to opt for a Churidar in the Anarkali look (which is all so 'in' right now).

Here, the best part of the Churidar is that I can easily accessorise it and wear it for a semi-formal or semi-casual party or celebration. I also love the colour of the Churidar, it's the only shade of red that I like and looks good on me. I purposely opted for a short necklace in this ensemble, because the churidar itself had a lot of pretty embroidery work around the neckline and I didn't want to take attention away from it.

For this ensemble, I I would opt for a light peachy makeup and a brown smokey look for the eyes. You can see the products that I would use below:

Enough talking about us girls, its the festive season, Right? Why should we only have all the fun and the boys be left. Hence, as a gift for Bhaiduj, I decided to gift, my Big B the following Kurta and accessories:

I preferred to buy the beige embroidery kurta for my brother, as he is a hassle free guy. He often prefers stuff that can be easily worn at casual gatherings, as well as, festive occasions. And, this kurta seemed just right for him. All boys love their gadget, so does my brother, that's the reason why I opted for the Casio Edifice chronograph watch.

After Diwali, Durga Puja and Navrathri are over, the festive season is still not over. Come December and its time for Christmas and time for more celebrations. Hence, I decided to pick a western outfit that I can easily wear to the Chirstmas parties and New year celebrations. Here is my pick:

One of the safest and elegrant ways to dress for Christmas parties are by opting for the LBDs (Little Black Dresses), LWDs (Little White Dresses) or the LRDs (Little Red Dresses), but, I decided to go for something different and bought a classic LGD (Little Grey Dress) :D. Paired with the right accessories, in this case, a red belt, ruby earrings and ruby pendant and a red clutch, this ensemble will make any girl absolutely and glamorously party ready. Bare minimum makeup with a soft smokey grey eye would complete the entire look for this outfit.

So, these are my picks for the festive season. All the clothes and products can easily be found at www.shoppersstop.com

So, what do you guys think about the festive looks that I created?
