Wills India Fashion Week 2013: Myoho by Kiran & Meghna

MYOHO
By KIRAN & MEGHNA
Autumn Winter 2013-14 at Wills India Fashion Week 2013

Mildly eccentric and slightly magpie, the collection this season is all about mixing and matching – odd separate teamings, off colour pairings and a luxe careless feel, retaining the ‘handcrafted’ essence of the label.

Detailed block and screen prints in muted yet vibrant colours are complemented by graphic, crafty textures and embroideries, somewhat leaning towards a tribal-folk aesthetic.

There is an affinity towards tailoring; fluid silks receive structural assistance from crisp organza, wool twills, heavy cottons and thick jacquards. The layering of prints, textures and separates adds a dramatic flair, but the easy-to-wear pieces never lose their sense of calm.

About Myoho:

Myoho meaning - Buddhist for the mystic forces of nature.

Myoho Style - a seamless confluence of ethnicity, femininity and subtlety.Easy, relaxed and organic, each Myoho ensemble is derived from a storehouse of earthy Indian handlooms. Ensembles that magnify and glorify femininity , yet keeping it subtle.

Myoho Designers -Myoho is the passion child of Kiran Jaisinghani and Meghna Agarwal. A showcase culling the essence of Indian handlooms and marrying them with a modern western sensibility. A dream that shaped into reality in the August of 2007. A dream that is constantly work under progress.

Kiran has studied fashion at the SNDT University and followed it up with a stint at the London College of Fashion. Meghna has graduated from National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT 2004).
